Vista Blue lies a few kilometres from the southern point and it shows: the current that runs strong at Red Slave already runs with you here. The reef is intact and the traffic low. Anyone diving here plans a drift dive, not a loop.
Vista Blue is an advanced shore dive close to the southern point: a reef top at six to eight metres, a steep slope to forty metres and a current that runs with Red Slave's.
A reef top at six to eight metres with dense hard coral and sea fans, which after the edge drops steeply to forty metres. Large vase sponges stand along the slope and schools of jacks hang over it. Larger hunters pass regularly in the blue.
In flat water and a current you can use. Do not go when there is surf on the coast: the entry lies open to the south-west.
The current can build during the dive as you go further south. There is no development and little traffic nearby. Parking on the verge, no shade, no water, no toilet.
Decisions on diveability, technique and health belong with STINAPA, a dive school or a doctor. This page only describes the conditions.
At the southern point the currents along the west and east coasts meet. That makes the water here richer in food and the reef more intact, but also less predictable than further north along the coast.
