Andrea II lies a few hundred metres south of Andrea I and offers the same type of reef, with fewer divers on it. It makes a good second dive of the day: shallow, calm and without surprises.
Andrea II is a beginner shore dive on the west coast: a reef top at four to six metres, a gradual slope to thirty metres and fewer visitors than Andrea I.
A reef top at four to six metres with finger coral, sponges and scattered seagrass. The slope runs gradually to thirty metres. Juvenile fish and trumpetfish on the top, rays on the sand.
As a second dive, or when Andrea I is too busy. In light wind the shallow part stays clear.
Little to it if you are after depth or relief. In wind, murky water on the top. Cramped parking strip, no shade, no water, no toilet.
Decisions on diveability, technique and health belong with STINAPA, a dive school or a doctor. This page only describes the conditions.
The west coast between Barcadera and Kralendijk consists of one long, unbroken reef slope; the names on the map mark entries, not different reefs. Andrea I and II are the clearest example.
