Monte's Divi is named after a divi-divi tree that stood on the shore as a landmark. The dive is calm: a shallow top with plenty of juvenile fish and a slope that drops away gradually.
Monte's Divi is a beginner boat dive on Klein Bonaire: a reef top at four to six metres and a gradual slope to thirty metres.
A reef top at four to six metres with finger coral, fan coral and sponges. The slope drops gently to thirty metres with sea fans. Schools of juvenile fish and sea bass on the top; now and then a turtle.
In calm sea, as a second dive of the day. In the morning the visibility over the top is best.
No special relief and little depth. Reachable only by boat. No facilities on Klein Bonaire.
Decisions on diveability, technique and health belong with STINAPA, a dive school or a doctor. This page only describes the conditions.
The divi-divi always bends to the south-west under the constant trade wind and is for that the best-known natural compass of the islands. On the map of Klein Bonaire, trees long served as the only landmarks.
