No Name is the white beach on the north side of Klein Bonaire where the water taxi lands. The reef top begins ten metres from the waterline, which makes it one of the easiest places on the island to snorkel and dive. There is no shade and no water — bring both.
No Name is a beginner boat dive on Klein Bonaire: a white beach, a reef top at three to six metres starting close to shore, and a slope to thirty metres.
From the beach, straight onto a reef top at three to six metres with finger coral, fan coral and plenty of juvenile fish. The slope drops gradually to thirty metres with sponges and sea fans. Turtles are common here, and sergeant majors school in the shallows.
When the water taxi runs, usually in the morning and early afternoon. Go early: later in the day there are more boat crowds on the beach.
You depend on the boat and so on the return trip. No shade, no water, no toilet, no facilities at all — on an uninhabited island that means something different than on the coast road. The beach can be busy with day trippers.
Decisions on diveability, technique and health belong with STINAPA, a dive school or a doctor. This page only describes the conditions.
Klein Bonaire is uninhabited and has belonged fully to the protected area since 1999; the government bought the island then to prevent development. The beaches are turtle nesting sites, which means that in the breeding season you must not disturb anything above the tide line.
