Sweet Dreams lies between Vista Blue and Red Slave, on the stretch where the current already draws towards the southern point. The reef is intact and visitation low; the dive is one with the current, or not at all.
Sweet Dreams is an advanced shore dive just before the southern point: a reef top at six to eight metres, a steep slope to forty metres and a current that almost always runs with you.
A reef top at six to eight metres with dense hard coral, dropping steeply to forty metres. Large vase sponges and black coral on the slope, schools of jacks in the blue. Larger hunters regularly along the edge.
In flat water and a current you can use. Early in the day; later the wind sets in and the entry turns choppy.
Swimming back against the current is not an option here: plan the exit before you go in. No development and no help nearby. Verge along the coast road, no shade, no water, no toilet.
Decisions on diveability, technique and health belong with STINAPA, a dive school or a doctor. This page only describes the conditions.
The last kilometres before the southern point are undeveloped and barely visited. The reef is better here than further north, and the currents that feed it make it less accessible at the same time.
