North Belnem is an entry in a residential district: you park among the houses and walk over coral grit into the water. Few divers come, the reef is quiet and the shallow part is full of juvenile fish. A good spot for a second dive without company.
North Belnem is a beginner shore dive on the south coast: a grit entry in the residential district, a reef top at four to six metres and a slope to twenty-eight metres.
A grit strip to a reef top at four to six metres with finger coral and sponges. The slope runs gradually to twenty-eight metres. Plenty of juvenile fish and sea bass on the top, now and then a turtle.
In light wind, when the shallow part stays clear. In the morning before the wind picks up.
An entry over loose grit, uncomfortable and slippery. You park in a residential district: keep the access clear and do not make noise early in the morning. No shade, no water, no toilet.
Decisions on diveability, technique and health belong with STINAPA, a dive school or a doctor. This page only describes the conditions.
Belnem is a post-war residential district south of the airport; the coast in front is public and holds a series of small entries. They appear on the map with their own names but lie on the same continuous reef.
